USIU Plot Parklands Downfall Following Successful Weekend

In this day and age, it is always extremely difficult to collect maximum six points whenever a team has two games during the weekend. However, this was not the case with United States International University-Africa (USIU-A) Men who had a fruitful outing this weekend by recording two precious victories.

Mashujaa started off by beating KCA University 2-0 on Saturday July 14, 2018 at the City Park Stadium, a match where Neville Mulupi and John Kabuu scored a field goal and a penalty corner respectively to bag all points for their side. Lawrence Makhatsa then netted the only goal on Sunday to see his side scrap past Wazalendo in a narrow 1-0 victory at the same venue.

The twin wins were very crucial as they took USIU’s point tally to 13 hence thrusting them from tenth position to sixth , same as longtime rivals Strathmore University whom the face on Sunday July 22, 2018.

Midweek date with Parklands
But before they go head-on with Strathmore Gladiators, USIU will be hoping to extend the fine run when they tackle Paklands SC in a midweek fixture slated for Wednesday July 18, 2018 at the City Park Stadium from 6pm.

Both sides have had some setback in recent games with USIU losing two of their last five matches while Parklands has suffered three defeats in the same number of games.

Parklands however lie two places behind USIU in eight with nine points and will be keen on a win that might pluck them out of the danger zone.
